Snow Caves

Yesterday we drove up to the Snow Caves for a nice hike with the kids. It started raining about three-quarters of the way there, but we still went on even though we were soaked eventually. Ethan loved it and Ellie was pretty much our tourguide all the way up. She was commenting on everything and leading the way and talking nonstop.

Becky's Luncheon

I have a new friend who moved up here recently and married one of the men in our ward. We had a luncheon for her at our house so she could meet some of the women. We had a great time!

Green Acres is the Place to Be

James' brother Bill has a tractor and his parents live on a lot of land. Ethan got the chance to ride on a tractor and drive it.

Charleston Beach

While in South Carolina in June we went down and spent a couple of days in Charleston. We went to the beach with James' family and visited downtown Charleston and saw all of the old houses. It was really hot and the Atlantic Ocean water was so warm, it was like walking into a warm bath. We really had to walk out far to get the water up high enough to cool off. I even saw a shark fin about 50 feet away from where I was standing. Of course, I hurried in a little closer to shore, but I can now officially say I've seen a shark :)

Trip to the Columbia, South Carolina Temple

In June we were lucky enough to be able to visit the Columbia, South Carolina Temple while we were visiting James' family. It was neat to be able to see another temple and the differences between a small temple versus the two bigger temples we have been to. When we walked out of the temple a big storm was coming and as soon as we got on the road we were in a down pour with thunder and lightning. What a great southern storm!
